Warning: Do not pay if the person named on the penalty notice was not the person in charge of the vehicle at the time of a demerit offence. Paying will apply demerit points to the wrong person. The person named on the notice must send SDRO a statutory declaration telling us the person who was driving. A new penalty notice will be sent to the person nominated, giving a further 21 days to finalise.

Note: Some parking offences now contain demerit points. These include penalties issued for parking in school zones and for the offence of stopping on or near a pedestrian or children's crossing.
