Take your penalty notice or enforcement order to any Australia Post office, where you can pay by:
- cash
- bank cheque
- personal cheque (only available at some Australia Post outlets)
- EFTPOS (only available at some Australia Post outlets).
Note: From 12 May 2012, we will no longer accept credit payments at any Australia Post office. If you wish to pay by credit card, call 1300 130 112 (international clients call +61 2 9087 7951) or follow the online payment links for penalty notices or enforcement orders. A 0.5% card payment fee will apply to credit card payments.
You must pay at Australia Post before 4:30pm Monday to Friday, to ensure your payment is processed overnight. If you pay after this time, or during the weekend or on a public holiday, the transaction will take two working days to process.
Any RMS restrictions will remain in place until the payment is processed and all outstanding enforcement orders have been paid in full. Contact the RMS before driving to confirm the restrictions have been lifted.
